Kobayashi International Trading Co., Ltd. has been certified under the “Business Continuity Enhancement Plan” (Jigyo Keizokuryoku Kyoka Keikaku) program. The Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry granted the certification on October 29, 2026 (Certification No. 20261027 Kinki No. 37).
Under this program, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry certifies the disaster preparedness plans of small and medium-sized businesses. The plans must set out measures to prevent and reduce damage, and to resume operations quickly after a natural disaster.
Our plan puts the safety of our employees and their families first, and also aims to contribute to the safety of the local community. Key measures include:
・Response procedures for an earthquake of seismic intensity upper 6 or higher
・Reporting damage to Hikone City and the Hikone Chamber of Commerce and Industry within 12 hours of a disaster
・Disaster drills once a year
・Fire extinguishers, emergency kits and first-aid supplies kept on site
