Kobayashi International Trading Company Limited has established a General Employer Action Plan under Japan’s Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children. On 8 October 2026, the plan was published on “Ryouritsu Shien no Hiroba”, the action plan publication website of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW).
A General Employer Action Plan sets out how a company will help its employees balance work and childcare and create a good working environment. We have posted the plan in our workplace to inform all employees, and submitted the plan notification to the Shiga Labour Bureau.
The plan runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2028. Its main goals are:
- Goal 1: Encourage the use of annual paid leave – each employee will take an average of at least 7 days of annual paid leave per year during the plan period.
- Goal 2: Reduce overtime work – we will review how work is shared according to busy and quiet periods, and set regular “leave on time” days.
- Goal 3: Improve the working environment for employees raising children – we will inform employees about childcare leave and the shorter working hours system, and consider flexible working hours based on employees’ wishes.
We will carry out these measures step by step according to the plan, so that every member of our team can work with peace of mind while caring for their family.
